Safety and Health Technical Manager (6/18/08)
Employer: Walt Disney World Resorts
Responsibilities: Provide SAFETY & Health Technical Management support to Walt Disney World business operations. Manage SAFETY and health compliance with operational guidelines and SAFETY related regulatory standards. Provide consultations to business partners relative to SAFETY and health projects, performance metrics, and other key initiatives.
Required Qualifications: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
- Bachelor's degree in SAFETY, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, related technical field or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience within SAFETY/Industrial Hygiene
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory standards including OSHA, EPA, Fire Codes, DOT, etc
- Demonstrated strong time management, planning and project management skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated business presentations and effective partnership skills
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Proven ability to interface with all levels within a corporate organization
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in SAFETY, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field or equivalent
- Certified SAFETY Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygiene Professional (CIH)
- Minimum 8 years or more experience in managing or supporting a corporate SAFETY and health program
- Minimum of 5 years experience in overseeing or executing a auditing and compliance process
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory standards including ANSI, NEC, NFPA, etc

Emergency Preparedness Manager (6/10/08)
Employer: Orlando Health (formally Orlando Regional Healthcare)
Job Duties/Functions:
- Provide strategic direction for Emergency Management programs within Orlando Health.
- Interface with local, regional and state agencies/organizations to improve safety and regional preparedness.
- Develop a system plan and incorporate regional responses to internal and external threats.
- Establish personal, credible relationships by interacting directly with a broad range of regulators, governmental representatives and elected officials.
- Work with leadership and administration annually to assess and improve plans.
- Provide written management reports to the governing bodies as necessary.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care (EOC) standards, OSHA regulations and Homeland Security guidelines.
- Coordinate training and education for Emergency Management programs within Orlando Health.
- Identify opportunities for increasing and enhancing employee, patient and medical staff training in regards to a safe environment and effective response.
- Develop and/or oversee system-wide solutions to providing timely and effective emergency preparedness and EOC education.
- Provide oversight and implementation system-wide of HICS.
- Implement and monitor the system-wide decontamination program.
- Provide oversight to the hospitals in regional planning and coordinate external educational opportunities where appropriate.
- Coordinate internal and external exercises to improve safety and organizational, as well as community preparedness.
- Ensure all member hospitals meet Joint Commission standards by providing oversight of internal and external exercises.
- Coordinate with community partners to ensure local assets are incorporated into hospital plans and notification systems are updated.
- Active participation in internal and external committees to assist in developing system-wide and regional improvement opportunities.
Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree of Science in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or closely related field required.
Licensure/Certification: Certification in Emergency Management is required or must obtain within one year of hire. Current Florida’s driver’s license and less than six points.
Experience: Seven years of technical/management experience in emergency management, fire safety or safety in a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of hospital safety, emergency management, JCAHO Environment of Care, and homeland security guidelines (local, state, federal, and accreditation).

Manager of Health Services, Sea World of Florida, Inc. (6/5/08)

Responsible for the operation of all health services operations (occupational health and emergency medical services) associated with the Orlando Parks operations, including all parks and support facilities. Is responsible for direct supervision of 3 supervisory level occupational health nurses and indirectly 80 plus other medically trained team members.
Ideal candidate must have supervisory and budgetary experience preferably in a medical environment, has knowledge and/or experience with workers compensation claims strategies as they relate to medical management, medical certification; EMT, paramedic or nursing desirable but not required, OSHA compliance experience preferred. Must be innovative, flexible, highly motivated and self directed, able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with people from all backgrounds. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Must be able to traverse the parks in all weather conditions.
