Free OSHA Workshop on Respirable Silica

The standard provides flexible alternatives, which OSHA expects will be especially useful for small employers.  Employers can either use the control methods laid out in Table 1 of the construction standard, or they can measure workers’ exposure to silica and independently decided which dust controls work best to limit exposures to the PEL in their workplaces.  Come to this free seminar that will go into more detail on what is required.

The Future Safety Leaders Conference is a two-day conference designed to provideASSE student members with the tools needed to begin a successful career in safety. Students will participate in mock interviews, get their resume critiqued by HR professionals, engage in roundtable discussions with experienced OSH professionals, and more.

How can a student member apply to attend the 2017 Future Safety Leaders Conference?

All ASSE student members are invited to apply. Application materials and detailed information about the conference can be found at fslc.asse.org. Students should complete the Student Essay Worksheet and submit it to their Faculty Advisors (students not in a student section should email this document to a faculty member) NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 7, 2017. The Student Essay Worksheet will help the faculty member complete the student Attendee Selection Worksheet online form, which is dueNO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 14, 2017.
